Ducting For Downdraft Hoods & Induction Hobs
Push fit self-seal 150mm ducting is recommended for all our downdraft hoods and induction hob extractors.
We have made it easy to select your ducting requirements by designing a clickable easy flow chart on each product, simply select your hood or hob and click the ducting tab.
Only use (6") 220mm x 90mm flat or 150mm round ducting when installing downdraft extractors. 100mm (4") or 125mm (5") do not have sufficient air flow to provide acceptable extraction rates and will cause the motor to overheat and burn out.
Keep the run as short as possible, we recommend a maximum run of 6 metres when running the duct flat and a maximum of 2 x 90° bends. Remember the more bends and elbows you use, the less efficient your extraction will be.
