Washable & Reusable Filter for LA-90-DWN-SS/BG Downdraft Hoods

Luxair offers a washable carbon filter set designed for the LA-90-DWN-SS-BG downdraft extractor hood, providing a long-lasting and sustainable solution for effective air purification.

These filters are engineered to fit seamlessly onto the existing metal grease filters inside the hood. Using the two integrated securing arms, installation is straightforward as you can see in the video, ensuring a stable and airtight connection for optimum filtration performance.

Unlike standard disposable carbon filters, Luxair’s washable version is designed for extended usability of up to 2–3 years under normal operating conditions. The activated carbon layer effectively absorbs cooking odours, smoke, and airborne grease particles, maintaining a cleaner and fresher kitchen environment.

Maintenance is both practical and economical:

• Cleaning: The filters can be washed in warm soapy water or placed in a dishwasher cycle to remove built-up grease and impurities.

• Reactivation: After washing, simply dry the filters in a preheated oven (approximately 15 minutes). This process helps reactivate the carbon, restoring its absorptive capacity.

Each pack includes two washable carbon filters. By extending the replacement cycle compared to disposable filters, this solution offers not only cost savings but also a more environmentally responsible choice.
