Monza 90cm Island Cooker Hood — Curved Matte Black with PVD Colour Fascia. 900m³/hr. Baffle Filters.

The Monza Island is a 90cm curved matte black island-mounted cooker hood with a coloured PVD steel fascia — stainless steel, gold, gun metal, or copper. Where a wall hood has a surface behind it, an island hood occupies free space — it becomes the visual centrepiece of the kitchen, visible from every angle across the island. The Monza's curved form is designed for exactly this: a body that reads as intentionally sculptural from both sides of the island, with the coloured PVD fascia giving it a material quality that changes the character of the whole kitchen depending on the finish you choose.

Gold for a warm, luxurious kitchen with brass fixtures and rich tones. Copper for an earthy, vintage-industrial or artisan aesthetic. Gun metal for a dark, tone-on-tone matte finish that anchors a monochromatic colour scheme. Stainless steel for a clean, contemporary contrast against the matte black body. One hood. Four kitchen personalities. Select your fascia colour from the options above.

Baffle grease filters — the professional standard

The Monza Island uses baffle grease filters — a step up from standard filter mesh. Baffle filters use precisely angled channels to create turbulence in the extracted airstream, separating grease particles by centrifugal force rather than trapping them in mesh. The result is more efficient grease separation at higher motor speeds, longer intervals between cleaning, and a filter that takes seconds to remove, rinse under hot water, and refit. They are the filter type found on professional kitchen equipment — and on island hoods at this level.

Recirculation options — charcoal or plasma

Where external ducting to an outside wall or ceiling vent isn't possible — common on kitchen islands where running a duct through the ceiling structure is impractical — the Monza Island can be run in recirculation mode. Two options are available. Standard charcoal filter recirculation absorbs cooking odours before the air is returned to the kitchen. Plasma filter recirculation takes a different approach entirely — the plasma system breaks down odour molecules at a molecular level using ionisation technology, with no charcoal filter to replace. Both options are available on this hood. See the related products below for the compatible plasma filter and charcoal filter options.

Performance specification

900m³/hr extraction rate. 4-speed motor with intensive boost mode. Backlit touch control panel with timer, automatic switch-off, and filter cleaning and replacement indicator. LED hob lighting. Energy class A. 125–150mm air outlet with non-return valve

Curved matte black island hood with PVD colour fascia 4 finishes— stainless steel, gold, gun metal, or copper; visible from all angles as the kitchen centrepiece

Baffle grease filtersprofessional grade— angled channels separate grease by centrifugal force; more efficient than mesh, easier to clean

900m³/hr extraction rate— powerful performance for open-plan kitchens and large island cooking spaces

4 speeds including intensive boost mode— increases extraction power automatically for high-demand cooking

Backlit touch control panel— timer, automatic switch-off, and filter cleaning and replacement indicator

Ducted or recirculating— charcoal filter recirculation or plasma filter system (no charcoal replacement required); 120–150mm outlet with non-return valve

Plasma filter recirculation optionno filter to replace— breaks down odour molecules using ionisation; no charcoal filter cartridge required

Energy class Aefficient— low running costs relative to extraction output

LED hob lighting— clear, focused illumination over the cooking surface from above

Home Visit & Installation Advice
Confused? Unsure? Let Us Help You Choose A Kitchen Extractor

Luxair
Cooker Hoods now offer a site visit by one of our qualified in-house
engineers, where they will advise on the best option regarding what
cooker hood suits your kitchen needs, they can also advise on the best
way to run your ducting or if re-circulation may be best for your
setup.

An installation service is also available upon request and
completion of a Site or home Survey. Prices will vary dependent on
installation required and will be quoted once an engineer has made his
visit and all necessary observations are made in relation to your cooker
hood installation.

What you need to know:

Another
important reason to consider a site survey is to identify the most
suitable cooker hood for the location of your kitchen or bathroom.

We will look at the very best option, taking into consideration the size
of your kitchen, if the ceiling construction is suitable for a ceiling
cooker hood, any potential regulation requirements and above all the
correct motor size and ducting route to give you the optimum extraction
you require.

Your Site Survey:

During a
site survey, your Luxair engineer will discuss your requirements, taking
into consideration the appropriate extraction output for the room, the
relevant location within the kitchen and the most suitable
ducting system for your cooker hood. If the installation is new, the
site survey will identify the requirements for the ducting system,
ventilation and clearances to any combustible materials to maintain safe
use. The site survey will allow your Luxair engineer to provide you
with the best advice, consequently avoiding any unexpected expense.

Please
Note: All site surveys will be booked in directly with the engineers,
who will contact you within 1 - 7 working days of your payment being
processed. Our engineers will call you to arrange a date and time that
is convenient to you.
