What it controls
Once paired, the remote gives you full wireless control of your hood from anywhere in the kitchen:
- Fan speed — cycle through all available extraction speeds
- Lighting — turn the hood light on and off
- Power — turn the hood on and off without reaching up to the controls
For ceiling and island hoods where the controls sit overhead, and for downdraft hoods where the controls are at worktop level, wireless control is a significant convenience that makes the hood easier to use from wherever you're cooking.
How to confirm compatibility — find your serial number
If you're not certain this is the correct fob from the images alone, provide your serial number when ordering and our team will confirm before despatch. Remove the metal grease filters from inside your cooker hood. On the inner underside of the main body you will find a silver or white label showing one of the following — you only need one:
- S/N — for example: S/N 1234567
- Manufacture date — for example: July 2006
- LOTTO number — for example: LOTTO 1234567

My remote has stopped working — what should I try first?
Before ordering a replacement, try these steps. Replace the battery — most Luxair fobs use a standard CR2032 coin cell battery, available from any supermarket or hardware store. Check there's a clear line of sight between the remote and the sensor on your hood with nothing blocking it. Try re-pairing using the instructions in the PDF — a power cut or surge can sometimes reset the pairing. If none of these resolve it, a replacement fob is the solution.
Why does this remote cover so many different hood models?
This uses a remote system that is compatible across a wide range of Luxair's premium ceiling, island, canopy, and downdraft ranges. Rather than stocking a separate remote for each individual model, Luxair uses a single compatible fob across this group — which means you're ordering the right part whether you have a Caporra ceiling hood, a Lazio island, or a Downdraft extractor.
What if I don't know my serial number?
Remove the metal grease filters from inside the hood. The serial label is on the inner underside of the main body — a silver or white sticker showing an S/N, manufacture date, or LOTTO number. If you can't locate it, take a clear photo of the inside of the hood and upload it using the photo field — our team will identify the model from the image and confirm the correct remote before shipping.
