Luxair Cooker Hoods offers home surveys carried out by our qualified in-house engineers. During the visit, your engineer will assess your kitchen layout and advise on the most suitable cooker hood for your needs. They can also recommend the best ducting route, check whether recirculation is a better option, and help you avoid common installation issues before you buy.
An installation service may also be available following your home survey. Installation costs vary depending on the work required and will be quoted after the engineer has completed the visit and assessed your cooker hood installation requirements.

A home survey is one of the best ways to make sure you choose the right cooker hood for your kitchen. Your engineer will consider the size of the room, ceiling construction, extraction requirements, ducting options, possible regulation requirements, and the correct motor size needed to achieve effective extraction.
Your Home Survey
During the survey, your Luxair engineer will discuss your requirements and review the best position for your cooker hood, the appropriate extraction output for the room, and the most suitable ducting system.
For new installations, the survey will also help identify ducting, ventilation, and clearance requirements, including safe distances from combustible materials. This allows us to give clear, practical advice before installation and helps reduce the risk of unexpected costs later.
